Village Hosting

Every two - three years the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter hosts a Village Program here in the Bay Area. This summer, 2008, we will be hosting a village in San Carlos. For general information, please contact campplanners@cisvsf.org.

We need volunteers to help with the camp in the follow areas:

  • Laundry: Help wash linens for the camp. Contact: Dolores Wellman at dklw@wellman.com.
  • Open Day - Saturday July 19: Chapter members are invited to visit the village , learn about the delegates' countries and see them perform their songs and dances.
  • JB Night - Saturday evening July 19: JB'ers 14 years old and up are invited to help run fun activities whil the leaders and staff enjoy an evening out.
  • Rides to the airport: delegates need to be taken to the airport on the last day, Thur July 24, times vary. Email campplanners@cisvsf.org if you can drive.
  • Help with camp takedown - Friday July 26 and Saturday July 27. Contact: campplanners@cisvsf.org.
  • Help with shopping and miscellaneous errands: All during the camp and in weeks and months prior. Contact campplanners@cisvsf.org.
